He had 2 wives and we know one of them was called Margaret.
We also know Robert was a family man with children of his own. Robert died in September 1955, he died in Devon
but he might be buried in Leeds. He was 70 years old when he died. Robert
died of natural causes.
His wife died several years later. Robert will be remembered for his determination to succeed with a new, exciting and fast moving technology. For many years he was the only aircraft designer working in his company, which is a remarkable feat compared to the number of designers involved at Brough today. He was a visionary who was able to develop and design his own ideas but was also able to build a successful company that could turn his ideas into reality.
