28 children from each of the 14 primary schools within the Kingston upon Hull EAZ were invited to attend the first Gifted and Talented Summer School for Year 4 children. The Summer School was planned in order to improve children's literacy skills, social skills and self confidence over a duration of four days. This is a development of the successful Gifted and Talented Summer Schools already run for year 6, 7 and 8 children within the EAZ.
