When we had finally finished our Cygnets, it was time for the big competition- to see who's plane would fly the furthest.

We were shown this remote-controlled plane and hoped that we could make one that flew for a least half as long!

As you can see, we started at modifying our designs to make them fly better & better. We had to do many test flights... As you can see from the next video, even Mark got in on the action! (Place your Cursor over the video to see! -Mark's the one running across the screen!)

After a lot of crashing, whooshing, lost planes & rivalries between the adults (especially Mark as his was flying magnificently!) we got our final results:

• Robert: 7 seconds
• Jonathan C: 9 seconds
• Katie: 15 seconds
• Jonathan M: 30 seconds (His got lost on the roof!)
• Kayleigh: 17 seconds
• Ben: 13 seconds
• & Mark 31 seconds

Why don't you try to beat our scores and if you do, how about beating the Summer School's Best time (Set by Louis Dorton) of 1 minute, 10 seconds!
You could say a world record!
