Daily Diary by Kayleigh & Katie

Day 6, Wednesday 2nd August

Dear Diary

Today was a very early start. We were going to Cambridge well RAF Duxford to be exact we were going because of our theme on flight. We had to be at Sutton Park Primary for 7.00am a very early start indeed. We had a quick count up and t h en we were off.It was a long journey indeed and everyone was getting restless. At long last we were there. We went straight to the Dragon Rapide 1930's Airliner.Group 1 went first and then it was our turn.We were set to get on when Katie decided to stay firmly on the ground.Sarah came instead. It was a very nerveracking experience. It was all over in a matter of minutes. We then went on to the hangers and had a look at each of the different models we even had a look at Concorde. It was all very exciting. We were finally back on the bus.

Today we had an exciting experience when we went to RAF Duxford. We had a flight on a DeHavilland Dragon Rapide (one of the 1930s aeroplanes). This was exciting for most of us and some of us didn't like it. We then had a walk aro und the museum part itself and went into the rooms. In some rooms you could have a look at the inside of things and some rooms you could only look. We all had a good look round and we all thought it was fascinating. We especially liked the flight on the D eHavilland Dragon Rapide. Most people said the flight was good but some people didn't like it at all. Some of us were nearly sick and some of us wanted to go on it again. I especially liked room six. The flight seemed bumpy to some people and fin to others. I would definitely go again.
