At
RAF Duxford today we had the chance to go flying in a De
Havilland Dragon Rapide which is a 1930's bi-plane.
"While we were waiting for our turn I wasn't very
nervous, but when we were actually sat in the seats of
the plane I got a bit nervous until we took of."
said Louis excitedly. It was absolutely amazing when we
were in the air because all the cars and houses and
aeroplanes looked like tiny, miniature toys. |
| When
we turned corners the wings of the plane were almost
vertical and it felt like we were about to go upside down.
As we came down to land it felt like I left my stomach
behind for a moment. Flying in the Dragon Rapide was a
once in a life time experience, and I enjoyed it loads
more than any roller- coaster. |

This
is 1 of the army aeroplanes that we saw in Hanger 1, it
is called a Buccaneer and it was Built in Brough. |

| These
2 pictures show a model of the Concord from the front and
the back. We went inside of the real concord and I was
amazed by the amount of controls, not only in the cock
pit but further down the aeroplane aswell. |
