Daily Diary by Katie Burton

Day 6, Wednesday 2nd August

Today we visited the RAF Duxford museum and flew in a De Havilland Dragon Rapide.

When we arrived at RAF Duxford we went to see what time we had to be at the runway hut to fly in the De Havilland Dragon Rapide. We then went to hanger 3 where there were aeroplanes being renovated and a mini submarine. Then we went to watch the other groups have their flight.

At last came the time when we had our flight, my ears popped but I still enjoyed it (see our groups Duxford web page for pictures and our individual comments). Then we went to hanger 5 where there were a lot of army vehicles.

When we had finished there we took the mini tram to have a drink and a break. We then went to the adventure playground where I went on the see-saw with Kara. Micheal and Liam went on it aswell, they particularly enjoyed the death slide! We then went to look at the insides of the Concorde in hanger 1 - I enjoyed looking at the Concorde from the inside. Also in hanger 1 we went to the shop to buy some souveniers . Then we got on the coach and returned to Sutton Park.

Christopher said, "It was a good day - flying in the plane was great!" Kyra commented,"I thought it was a good life experience!" Craig exclaimed, "It was good and I especially liked flying in the Dragon Rapide!"

We all had a brilliant day and will remember it for a long time to come!
