Aimee Stewart,The Really Ace Flyers [Group 5]

This is daily dairy day 6, today everybody in this perticuler Summer School went over the Humber Bribge to Duxford to study aeroplanes we even got to fly in one but i'll tell you about that later.First we had to get up really early to be at school for 7.00am so we could set off.We had to be on the coach for a terrible three and a half hours don't worry we was aloud to go to the services to go to the toilet.Finaly we got there we had to wait about 10mins because we had to get the tickets first so we could get in.As soon as we got in we all went to the toilets. After we went to the toilet we went to see what time the flight was every group had a different time because the plane could only hold eight people each flight. Our group time was 12.30pm so we went to hanger 4 the section was Battle of Britain exhibition. It had alot of different but interesting planes and engines in it even some tanks. Then we had a look if it was our turn but unfortunatly it wasn't they was two more groups waiting for there turn because one of the groups were a couple of miniutes later then there time.So we had a look at hanger 5, in hanger 5 people were restoring old planes that were a bit old to put out straight away.when you went to the exit you could see another building with the sign post saying Operations Room we also went in there and then it was our turn on the 1930's plan its name is the Dragon Rapide.I was very nervous so was Kelly [Langley] because I have never been on a plane before so I was very very nervous when I got on I shot to the back were there was no windows but as soon as we were up in the air I wanted a window seat.We were up in the sky for about ten minuts and when we got down I wanted to be up in the plane again and again. When you got down your legs were all wobbley and you couldn't hardly walk .Then after that our group went to see all the Americian aeroplanes one of them was a massive aeroplane it went from one side of the building to the other side of the building. Then we caught one of the yellow tram and then we had a look in some airliners and we also went in the concorde .At last we went into the adventure playground for big kids after that we went to the toilets and went to the coach and set off back home. The best thing that day was having my first flight in my life, I thought flying was excellent and I want to go flying again some day.
