The morning started with a talk by John Lawson, learning manager from The Deep, who brought in a scale model to show us a glimpse of the future. Then, armed with our roll-film and digital cameras, East Yorkshire Motor Services kindly took us by coach, to The Deep site, at Sammy's point at the confluence of the River Hull and Humber |

We found out that it would be as high |

Then we travelled along the River Hull, stopping off at 6 different points to admire the scenery, and we took the opportunity to take some snaps. |

We ended up at the Tidal Barrier. First, we had a little talk about the place then, we had to climb a daunting 158 steps and a ladder! As you can tell from the picture, it was hard work! |

Then, when we finally got to the top, we looked at the marvellous view of people working on The Deep building site below. As the picture shows, we were glad that we had made it! But, there was one problem, GETTING DOWN!! |
||
We were now very hungry so we headed for the School of Architecture, who gratefully provided us with lunch. Then it was time for work. Our mission: find a new use for an old building within 1 hour. With help from a student, we started beavering away |

An hour later,we had completed our 'Deep Sea Den', an adventure family fun park and presented our ideas to the other groups. We had become undergraduates for the afternoon and did a job well done. We had a fantastic day but really tiring. We could sleep for a week! End of Day 2! |
