| Daily Diary Tuesday 27th July |
| Day 2 |
| On Tuesday we visited "The
Deep" , the old Town, and the school of architecture
in the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside. Our
theme for the day was the regeneration of the lower River
Hull corridor. The day began with John Lawson explaining the futuristic designs " The Deep" project at Sammy`s Point. We walked along the River Hull corridor paying special attention to the architecture and use of buildings. We were able to use the memory techniques we learned on Monday. |

| ` | We studied the way buildings had
changed in use over time and discussed ways in which they
may be developed in the future. After lunch at the School of Architecture we examined ways in which the Bouys House on Tower Street could be rescued. We came up with numerous ideas including hotels, conference centre, museum, boating club and diving school. Each group then worked with an architectural student to design the building interior. The day was marked by the fact that we climbed over 590 stairs. |
