Day 4 |
| On Thursday 29th July we visited the Sunderland
``Stadium of Light.`` Richard Young was our tour guide
for the day. He took us around the stadium, in the
footballers changing rooms and in the banqueting room and
the bar. He took us on to the stands, the main stand was 90ft high, it was called the Murrey Stand. He took us right to the top where we had a good view of the pitch for about five minutes. The stadium was very impressive and gave us many ideas about the designs for our own super stadium in Hull. The stadium has seats for 42,000 people but because it was built as a bowl it looked much smaller than we thought. After this we had dinner in the players lounge. After dinner we headed back home. It took us about two and a half hours but it was really worth it. |
