Tuesday 27th July Daily Diary Group5: Day2:The Beautiful South |
| The second day of our
Summer School started with a visit by Mr.John Lawson who
showed us a model and photographs of the deep project. After the talk we went by bus to Victoria Dock to look at the site. Then we walked along the river Hull corridor trying to find the objects that we were given clues about on a worksheet. We saw various types of different buildings of different ages and styles. Our morning visit to the site ended with a climb to the top of the tidal barrier which had (156)steps! |

A lunch at the university of Humberside and Lincolnshire was followed by a talk about how you design a building. In our groups we made a model of an information centre and we presented our design to the rest of the groups. We were told that we were as good as some of the students at the university-it was a really enjoyable day. |
