The Ferry Journey

We were on board the ferry for quite a long time before it started to move out of the dock and into the river. We used this time to find our way around the ship and get to know what was there for us. We think this time could be a bit boring, but we had things to do.

When it came to the meal time this was really good. There was so much to choose from. Not all of us liked all of the different food but we all had plenty to eat and some people tried new things. The adults certainly enjoyed themselves! The crew were very helpful in the restaurant and we were given our own table so that we could all sit together for our meals.

After the meal we looked around the ship for information or advertising about Rotterdam and Hull. We had a discussion about our findings and then retired to the cinema. It was very small, but we enjoyed it. The film was good and suitable viewing for a family.

We had quite an early night as we needed to be up early the next morning. The ship was comfortable although some people were noisy late at night. We had a calm voyage and a good night's sleep.

Breakfast was good and we were able to watch as the ferry came into port. We left our bags on board as we were only staying in Holland for the day and would be returning on the ferry that same night.

On the return journey the experience was very similar but this time we went to the disco for a couple of hours.

There were buses in both ports to take you from the ferry into the city centres. These were very useful for the many foot passengers on board the ships.
