The Museum

Our visit to the Maritime Museum in Rotterdam had a specific purpose. We wanted to see how enjoyable it was for a foreign visitor:
Were the exhibitions interesting?
Could we understand the displays and the captions?
Was it child friendly?
Could we be involved in the exhibits?
Was it advertised well?

Many of the labels on the displays were in English, there were also English versions on the interactive computer displays. This helped us to enjoy the museum and understand the story it had to tell.

There was a special area set aside for young children where they could learn through play.

Interactive displays were available in a number of areas. Some of which were computer based.

The museum was linked directly to outdoor displays which were also fascinating.

We were able to go onboard a ship moored to to quayside.
