The Presentation

The young people prepared a short PowerPoint presentation with the focus on selling Hull and 'The Deep' in particular. We have included the slides and some of the commentary relating to our visit to Rotterdam, our findings and ideas for selling 'The Deep' as a tourist attraction.
We used the Pioneering Hull key words and looked to illustrate them using our own experiences The Education Action Zone uses new and innovatory ideas to improve standards in our schools.
The Deep is being created as Hull's millennium project and will be an icon of regeneration. The new leaders of our city are now the gifted and talented pupils in our schools
People are looking for new opportunities within the city. It is an exciting place to be. The aim is to make Hull a Top Ten city. Everything done should be the best possible quality.

There should be reasonable pricing so that people will want to come in the first place and make return journeys. Pricing should be linked to peoples budgets and other local tourist attractions.

Family passes should be available so that families can come and also be able to afford other things such as meals and other attractions.

Different ranges of family passes should be made so that larger family groups can fit on one pass.

Season passes should be made so that local people can visit again and again without the worries of expense. This would also encourage extra spending in the shops, cafes and restaurants.

Linking prices with other attractions would mean people can go to a hotel for the night as well as a trip to the deep and their stay on the ferry. All in one ticket!

Special deals for teenagers means that teenagers can go on their own to use The Deep’s facilities to study.

'The Deep' will be the high profile attraction in Hull and should link up with other attractions and leisure providers within the city. Advertising should be more widespread and link with the ferries and railway companies. Really high quality tourist trails and guides need developing.
