The programme to develop Co-operative Learning uses a number of structures in order to develop the co-operative approach to learning. These structures are underpinned by explicit teaching of the skills and by modeling the correct and appropriate use of the structures.

These structures have been adapted from the work of a number of researches including Johnson and Johnson, Kagan, Slavin and Brown and Thompson.

We have also drawn inspiration from the work of 'NLS Success for All' based at Nottingham University and the Accelerated Learning Programme developed at Kingswood High School.
